Senior Data Architect

I'm currently supporting a large-scale platform modernisation within a regulated financial services environment and are looking for an experienced Data Architecture specialist to take ownership of the data landscape during a critical transformation phase.

This role sits at the intersection of core insurance platforms, cloud-based analytics, and enterprise data governance, with real influence over how data is structured, moved, and trusted across the organisation.

Contract Details:

• Initial 6-month contract, potential to roll
• Hybrid working: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
• Dublin city centre location
• Highly competitive day rate available

What you’ll be doing:

• Shaping the future-state data architecture for a major core system replacement, from conceptual models through to physical implementation
• Defining how data flows between new platforms and existing estates, enabling side-by-side operation during phased rollout
• Designing scalable patterns for ingestion, storage, and analytics across modern cloud environments
• Acting as the architectural authority for data, ensuring designs meet internal standards, regulatory expectations, and programme goals
• Working closely with technology, delivery, and governance teams to ensure architecture translates into real-world delivery

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience leading enterprise-level data architecture in complex transformation programmes
• Deep understanding of insurance data structures and large transactional platforms
• Databricks architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Hands-on architectural knowledge of modern cloud data platforms and lakehouse-style analytics
• Strong background in data modelling, integration approaches, and governance frameworks
• Experience supporting parallel-run or coexistence strategies during system migrations
